Conference on "Towards a European Economic Government?"

The Department of European Political and Administrative Studies hosted a conference on 24 February 2011, entitled, "Towards a European Economic Government?".

Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders was represented by a member of his staff, Mr Nicolas Ledent, who pronounced Minister Reynders’ keynote address.

The conference brought academics and practitioners together who discussed the various reforms taking place in European economic governance in the light of the global financial crisis and subsequent sovereign debt crises in the Eurozone.

The event was held in Verversdijk (Verversdijk 16, 8000 Brugge) and was open to the public.
