European Security Webinar – LGBTQIA+ Hate Crimes

On 16 April 2020, the Natolin Security and Defence Society (NSDS) launched a series of European Security Webinars. The first event in the series was organised in cooperation with the Women's + Rights Society and it addressed LGBTQIA+ Hate Crimes in Poland and Europe.

The panellists were Ms Milena ADAMCZEWSKA, Lawyer at the Office of the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights; Dr Piotr GODZISZ, Lecturer in Criminology at Birmingham City University; and Mr Ales HANEK, Hate Crimes Officer at the OSCE.

The audience of over 55 people included students from the Natolin and Bruges campuses, staff at the European Parliament, and students from Collegium Civitas in Warsaw.
