Fellowship Programme for Young Government Officials from the Western Balkans Supporting Excellence and Leadership in Governance

The Development Office of the College of Europe, in partnership with the European Fund for the Balkans is organizing a six-month programme entitled ‘Fellowship Programme for Young Government Officials from the Western Balkans Supporting Excellence and Leadership in Governance’.

The programme is targeted at public officials from the Western Balkans who already have several years of professional experience in public administration and have already assumed initial managerial responsibilities or are preparing for a position of leadership.

The aim of the programme is to assist Southeast European countries by providing talented and highly qualified professionals from this region with supplementary insights of EU affairs but also with practical training and cooperation opportunities with their counterparts from the European Union in the form of a fellowship programme. The final part of the programme is a six-day seminar, taking place in Bruges and Brussels from 24 June to 30 June 2014. It will include visits to the European Institutions and sessions on accession negotiations and change management.
