Guest lecture by Professor Özlem TERZI: "Who Represents 'Europe'? Disentangling European Diplomatic Representation in Crises Abroad"

On 17 March 2017 Professor Özlem TERZI, Associate Professor at Istanbul University and currently visiting scholar in the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe, gave a guest lecture on “Who Represents ‘Europe’? Disentangling European Diplomatic Representation in Crises Abroad”. She analysed how the European Union interacts with the host government in third countries alongside the Member State embassies under normal circumstances and in times of crises. Drawing on field research, she discussed in particular the role and the performance of the EU Delegation in Ankara.
