On 1 April 2014, the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe, Bruges campus, celebrated the inauguration of a new EU-China Research Centre.

The establishment of the Centre is made possible by the generous funding of the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund.

The EU-China Research Centre aims to accompany the rapidly developing relations between the European Union and China by critical analysis and academic research. In particular, the Centre seeks to undertake high-quality research from an interdisciplinary perspective on topics of major importance in the field of EU-China relations, produce publications, organize conferences and promote cooperation between scholars specialized in EU-China studies.
