On 5 March 2014, Mr Marek MATUSIAK, graduate in Interdepartmental Studies in the Humanities, University of Warsaw and Freie Universität Berlin, gave a lecture on the contemporary history of Georgia. The lecture was part of a preparatory programme for the Voltaire students taking part in the study trip to Georgia, that ran from 17 until 23 March 2014. This event was for students only.

    

Marek MATUSIAK works as Senior Expert at the department of Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia of the Centre for Eastern Studies. His main research areas are foreign and internal policies of Turkey and Georgia. Marek MATUSIAK is an author of many analytical papers on both Georgia and Turkey. The most recent ones include: Georgia: Sentence of the former Prime Minister (2014-02-19), Turkey: The crisis continues (2014-02-12), Georgia: Presidential Election peaceful and democratic (2013-10-30).
