College of Europe graduates often achieve positions of responsibility in policy and business environments. In order to prepare our students for the tasks they will have to carry out and the challenges they are likely to encounter after their studies, the Economics Department has organized a series of lectures on how economic reasoning and tools are used in policy formulation and policy enforcement.

In each session EU Officials and experts will provide the audience with valuable insights drawn on real cases that demonstrate the use and possibly misuse of economics.

The second lecture will be given by Dr Lucian CERNAT - Chief Economist at DG Trade and it will have as a title:

Trade, Growth and World Affairs: the Role of Economics in shaping EU Trade Policy

05 February | 17:30 - Auditorium 2 | Verversdijk Campus

The lecture is public and open to all professors and students of the College of Europe.
