Mr Martin LARCH is Head of Secretariat at the European Fiscal Board since March 2017. He has an extensive experience in EU macro-economics. Between 2011 and 2017, he was head of Unit at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs. Between 2008 and 2011, Mr LARCH functioned as an advisor at the European Commission's Bureau of European Policy Advisors (BEPA).
Mr LARCH holds a PhD in economics from the University of Vienna on a topic of a crucial importance, namely, the assessment of the effectiveness of budget consolidation efforts.
