Training course on "EU Acquis Translation" for Turkish Officials

From Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 April 2017, the College of Europe Development Office organized a four-day training seminar on the “EU Acquis Translation” for a group of 9 Turkish officials from the Directorate for Translation Coordination of the Ministry for EU Affairs. The course addressed the challenges of translators confronted with the EU Acquis, explaining the fundamentals of the EU legal terminology and drawing on the experience of past enlargements. The course had a very practical component, offering participants insights on a wide array of software tools and internet resources for translators.
