The College of Europe Development Office, in cooperation with the Rothschild Foundation and the Israeli Council for Higher Education, successfully designed and implemented a tailor-made course on "Leadership in EU Academia" on 20 and 21 May 2019.

The course was designed as a study visit focused on the EU in the framework of a broader programme dealing with "Leadership in Academia". A total of 35 high-level academics and administrators visited the College of Europe premises and engaged in fruitful debates on a wide variety of interconnected topics such as the European Higher Education Area, the future of the Erasmus+, Horizon 2020 and EU Lifelong Learning Programmes, as well as the so-called "Knowledge Triangle" — research, education and innovation.

The programme was very interactive, alternating short presentations delivered by highly qualified trainers with hands-on group work carried out by the participants, and guest interventions by representatives of European academia and the EU institutions. The programme also included an address by H.E. Aharon LESHNO-YAAR, Israeli Ambassador to the EU and NATO.

The College of Europe Development Office would like to thank all the participants for their engagement and looks forward to further opportunities for collaboration with the Rothschild Foundation and the Israeli Council on Higher Education.
