PAPAIOANNOU A. - NATO’s Future and NATO-EU Relations : Building Bridges across Brussels (8h)

The workshop aims at giving a practioner’s perspective on some of the wider challenges that we are facing with an initial, but not exclusive, focus on security and defence. The first part of the workshop will focus on the evolution and the future perspectives of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), within the context of the wider efforts to build European Security. The second part will be divided in two sub-parts: the first will address the recent developments in European defence and how these affect and are affected by Transatlantic relations, while during the second the focus will be on a separate topic: an introduction to the migration-refugee issue and how this is and will dominate the European agenda for the years to come.
