Professors: Michele CHANG and Gabriel GLÖCKLER

The European Union is at a critical inflection point. Its previous economic growth models have come under threat as technological developments, geopolitical events, and shifting political interests threaten its future economic and political relevance. Does Europe have the political and economic means to deal with these issues? The opportunities and constraints of Europe to meet these challenges is the subject of this course. The course considers fiscal, financial and monetary perspectives on how the EU could meet its economic and geopolitical objectives and what kind of political constraints and opportunities to expect along the way.
